Adam Woolley - PGA Professional

Golf has been a huge part of my life from when I started at a very young age. I turned professional back in 2015 following two years on a golf scholarship in America, which was an incredible experience. I met some great friends, coaches and mentors from whom I learnt techniques and philosophies that I still use today, both in my personal game and in my coaching.  I consider my profession also a hobby, I absolutely love the game. I still love to play as much as I can in professional events, competing in County, Midlands and National events. I also love to coach, and seeing positive transformations and happy clients after changes in either their handicap or in their general enjoyment of the game, just makes my job even more special.  Lincoln GC is such a great place to work with a great course and fantastic coaching facilities.  I welcome anyone to get in touch with me so we can evaluate your swing together, and come up with the best plan to progress your golf game.

Gary Leslie - PGA Professional

My career in Golf has been a little different from many Pros’. Qualifying through the PGA training programme in 1982, my career initially took the traditional route of club professional. Returning to Higher Education in 2002 and achieving a BSc (Hons) degree led to being offered the role of Lecturer at the University of Lincoln. Throughout the 15 years that followed I combined working within both Golf (as head coach) plus Higher Education, on a journey of continuous learning. This was achieved via post-graduate qualifications, research and reaching Senior Lecturer at the University of Lincoln within the School of Sport & Exercise Science. I currently act as a consultant to the PGA, being a mentor to approximately 100 trainee professionals throughout their three year programme. I am also a marker/assessor within the Business Management modules for the PGA training programme. In 2010 I was awarded the prestigious status of ‘Fellow of the PGA’. That is a brief Bio of what I aim to bring to this exciting opportunity & I very much look forward to working with you in whichever way helps you reach your goals best. My coaching philosophy is to: “Coach the person (not a method), stimulate inquiry & encourage exploration”.within the School of Sport & Exercise Science.

Philip Davies - Mentor/Coach

Hi, I’m Philip Davies and my role is to support David in whatever way assists him and his business to develop and grow. This could be helping out in the shop to facilitating the generation of strategic plans and anything else in between. I’ve been a member at Lincoln Golf Club since 2008, although I first played here a few times in the late 90s as a visitor. A couple of golfing experiences spring to mind. The first is getting two holes-in-one in the same calendar year (2011) on the 12th and 17th respectively – very expensive mind, luckily the clubhouse was nearly empty on both occasions. The second (and I still have nightmares about this) was standing on the 15th tee with a shot on every hole left and needing 4 bogeys for a net 64 in a board competition. I went 8, 9, 9, 8. Oh well, that’s golf – at least 90% of it is in the head! I’m genuinely excited about the future of our Club and I’m looking forward to continuing to work alongside David, the Assistant Pros and the rest of the LGC team, and being a small part of its development, growth and evolution over the next months and years.
