We had a great 9-hole scratch Stableford played from the championship Tees on Sunday.

It's always fun to get out on the course and there was also some good scoring by Ashley Carter and Aaron Kay.

The wait is over

Graeme McDowell ended a near-six-year European Tour drought by battling through a blustery final day at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club to win by two from defending champion Dustin Johnson.

The likes of Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and Patrick Reed (along with Dustin Johnson) were just some of the star names skipping the PGA Tour’s stop at the Waste Management Phoenix Open (won by Webb Simpson) in favour of the Saudi International, but none could match McDowell’s winning 12-under-par.

The win sees the Northern Irishman move back into the world’s top fifty with one eye firmly on adding to his major tally in 2020.

Both of these balls are available in-store at a lower price point than the Pro V1s, but that doesn't make them any less of an option for your bag.

The new Tour Soft is a brutal combination of impressive distance off the tee with extra control and spin around the greens. However, if distance is your prime goal then you need to try the Velocity ball, which is available in several matte colours to add a bit of fun to your fourball.

The gloves are on

Golf is hard enough at the best of times but throw rain, wind and freezing temperatures into the mix and it becomes near-on impossible. Cold fingertips that feel like ice blocks is something we’ve all encountered on the course at this time of year, and let’s not even mention the pain you feel when you thin a ball like that!
